All Ready for NDK

Tue Sep 1, 2009, 2:06 PM
So I've been working on my costume for NDK all summer, and things went exactly as planned. I got the shaping of the two versions of the Flare Sword all taken care of before I headed back to school for the year. And then during the first week of classes I got both of them completely painted so I am now completely ready for the Con.

I hope to get the pictures of the swords up within the next hour, and then I'll have to wait till I get back from the Con to put up a picture of the full costume with the swords however, since I accidentally broke my camera and am unable to use it anymore, so I have to use my webcam to take pictures, oh well.

As for the valedictorian speech for Bob I know a couple people have been looking forward to I completely and 100% intend to write it and hope to get some inspiration from my Intro to Creative Writing class this semester.

Well I never thought that I would get fans of my roleplay character, Bob. But apparently I have, which is a great thing for me cause I never thought that I would have anyone become a fan of anything I made. Speaking of which those who have expressed their fan-hood, I appreciate that you like my character so much, and I know that you want me to get his valedictorian speech written, and I just want to let you know that I do intend to write it at some point, however it could be a while since I've never really been good at writing speeches.

In the meantime I may have, at some point, something to tide you fans over, because doodlepad here on DeviantArt has said she will see about drawing four different forms of Bob, since I have adapted him to four different versions for some online roleplays.

The four forms are as follows:

Modern day-the one whose backstory I have already written
Medieval-the only change with this version is that he does not have an army hat boots or pants, he just has regular everyday medieval pants and boots, still doesn't wear shirts, and of course he has no affiliation with GDI since they don't exist in medieval times.
Megaman-Bob basically adapted as a reploid, he's got Flight Armor and the Flare Sword is a broad beam sword instead of a physical sword.
Blood-Trait Digimon-form adapted through the original concept developed by one of my pals, digitLninja. In this form Bob isn't at the top of his game normally, he is still bulky and musclebound, but his true power comes from his Blood-trait Digivolution CimmerAnubismon(Anubismon with midnight black fur). In his human form he does not have access to the Flare Sword, but as CimmerAnubismon he does.

End of the semester-The beginning of chaos

Thu Apr 23, 2009, 11:12 AM
Well, well, well. I haven't done one of these for a while, but I'm currently waiting for my professor to get here so I thought I'd go ahead and do this to kill some time.

So it's getting close to the end of the semester, and looking back I know there have been some rough spots, but overall I'd say that this semester went very well. The semester started off with everything being very easy-going, and luckily enough I was able to maintain that state of being throughout most of the semester, even when I talked with my advisor about my final year of college, where I found out that I was incredibly short on upper division credits. but I found out that I can still graduate on time so long as I get everything besides my intership done by the end of the next school year.

Now throughout this semester I have had one person in particular who I consider a friend constantly get on my nerves, seeming as though he thought the entire world revolves around him and that everything about this world should be based in anime. Well several weeks ago I finally got tired of it and told him what I'd been wanting to say this whole semester, albeit in a very blunt way, but I believe that to be blunt is to be effective. Apparently he chose to continue on as if nothing I had said had gotten through to him, but as if all I had done was attacked everything he stood for. I'm not writing this to say I'm sorry for what I said, because I am not sorry, not in the least. Now I would still very much like to consider him a friend, but again that is up to him at this point and not me.

In other matters for most of this semester I have been working on computer programming assignments that have occupied the majority of the semester. The first one is a project for the High Altitude Performance Lab here at Western which is basically includes a login system and a data submission system. The login part of it took me the first 5 weeks to complete, but since then I have been motoring along on it getting everything done, except for the final stretch, which with any luck will be done today. The other project has been working with a 3D model of Sonic The Hedgehog, where I have been trying to get him to walk across the screen, and to jump up and down. Well finally today I got the first part completely working albeit with a couple of tweaks needed to make it look better, but I am happy with the success nonetheless.

Now last night I talked with my mom to see if her Social Security office might possibly have an internship opportunity for me, since I need one for my major, and I found out that I will be basically the tech person setting up a whole bunch of stuff for the business she is going to start, as well as I will probably be setting up a bunch of technical stuff for my step-dad's small business, along with working at Elitch Gardens at the same time this summer. So my summer just got a lot more chaotic then I thought it was going to be. Anyway I've run out of things to rant about so I'm going to go chill for a while till my prof gets here.

A Bob Interlude

Sun Feb 1, 2009, 5:25 PM
Bob and his team had just been knocked out during their training with the Timeline Rangers. As they woke up they took a look around and of course the Rangers were nowhere to be found. Bob's wrist communicator started beeping with an incoming message.

"General Bob, this is Command."

"Command this is Bob, go ahead."

"General, I've been ordered to relay this message to you, 'You are now cleared for a new security protocol. To make use of this protocol simply speak the words, "GDI's Benevolence", into your commlink, and we'll activate the protocol from here.'"

"Thanks Command. By the way I need a status update on Operation Isometric Gigatransition."

"Operation Isometric Gigatransition? Let me check. It says here that the project has been completed and there is a part on standby that is marked to be sent to you. This is to be given to codename "Nikki" she'll know what to do with it. We'll be transporting the part and your part to you shortly."

The Story of Bob Chapter 6

Tue Jan 6, 2009, 7:13 PM
Finally got my idea for the next part. So hear goes:

When Bob arrived at Command he was immediately called into the debriefing room.

"Let's hear your report general."

"Yes, sir."

So Bob gave his report on what had happened over the course of the mission. When he got to the factory, he started getting angry again.

"My engineer patched through a communication from Kane, who proceeded to tell me that he had been expecting us to move in on the base. After hearing that I knew there could be only one reason he would tell me, he had set a trap and we walked into it. So I called for an immediate retreat."

"Well it's too bad you were unable to erase that data. That means we'll definitely be seeing that new weapons system quite often. The important thing is that you didn't lose a single soldier, and you saved a civilian who was under attack."

"Might I respectfully request some time off sir, to calm my nerves and collect myself?"

"Go ahead general you've earned it."

"Oh and one more thing sir."

"Yes?"

"What has become of the girl I rescued from the NOD research center?"

"Ah I thought you might ask about her. Well we took a look at the weapons system that was calibrated for her body. Our engineers were able to analyze it without taking it apart, well we tried to do it by taking it apart but it seems it is too well integrated into her nervous system. Every time we tried to take something off she started crying with pain. Other than that we asked her a few textbook questions to make sure NOD has no influence over her."

"After that we decided to test how well she could work with the machine. She broke every record except yours general. So we asked her if she wouldn't mind helping GDI out in combat. She agreed under two conditions, 1)that she always be stationed with you, I guess you made quite an impression on her, she seems to regard you as her guardian, and 2) that we do what we can to help unlock her memories."

"So she'll be coming with me on any future missions?"

"Yeah we need all the help we can get. Anyway enjoy your time off."

"Thank you again, sir"

Bob saluted the commander, and turned to leave, but the commander grabbed his shoulder.

"Oh I almost forgot, I know you feel that you don't deserve this, but everyone here believes you do."

With that the commander handed Bob another star. He would have been happier but the failure of his mission still weighed heavy on his heart. When he got back to his quarters he laid down a took a quick nap. When he woke up, the next day he was feeling somewhat better, but not by much. He remembered that he had promised the woman he saved that he would call when he had some time off. So he gave her a call, and they decided to meet up at the mall near her hometown.

When he got there he found her in the food court right outside Popeye's chicken.

"Well hello there General Bob."

"Please call me Robert."

"Ok then, Robert, so what should we do."

"I really don't know I'm still not in the best of moods after that failure yesterday."

"Oh are you still worried about that, you know you really should let it go."

"That's the thing I want to but its hard for me, my whole life I've never failed, not once! My pride has been damaged."

She leaned up and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Now I don't want you to think about that at all today. I think I know something that might cheer you up."

She led him into the arcade and over to Dance Dance revolution.

"Oh no I don't dance."

"Come on, it'll be fun."

"I don't know."

"You gotta at least try it once."

"Oh, ok."

With a sheepish grin on his face Bob climbed up on the platform as she picked a song. When the song started, they both got ready, with the woman getting into the beat, while Bob simply started concentrating on his nerves and trying to sync them better with his legs. They played for about an hour, at the end of which, Bob had become much more relaxed, in fact he couldn't even remember why he had been so glum in the first place.

"You know I never thought that would be so much fun. Thanks for getting me to try it."

"See I knew you'd relax after a good game."

"So what do we do next?"

"Well how about a movie?"

"Sounds like a plan."

So they went over to the movie theater, bought their tickets, and got some popcorn. They sat down in the theater just as the movie started. Halfway through the movie the building started to rumble, as if something giant were walking by the mall, then they started getting closer. Suddenly the theatre wall burst in, and Bob jumped in front of the woman to shield her from the debris. When the dust cleared Bob looked up to find a Redeemer peering in at them.

"Well, well if it isn't the GDI general."

"I know that voice, Kane, you bastard!!! You're gonna pay for that insult yesterday."

"Ohh temper temper. You might want to keep your anger under wraps in front of your little friend there."

With that comment Bob's frustration overflowed.

"YOU ARE GOING DOWN RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW KANE!!!"

With that he ran at the Redeemer, drawing the Flare Sword and trying to slash the Redeemers legs out from under it. While he was attempting this, one of the secondary firing stations on the Redeemer fired a rocket off that went off target and hit the woman, instantly killing her.

"NO!!!"

Bob was holding back tears as he rushed to her side. As he held her, a sniper shot from a NOD soldier made contact with his shoulder and went right through. He collapsed from the extreme pain. With that the Ocean Dragon Lord card in his pocket started glowing, and all of a sudden a huge torrent of water burst out of the card enveloping Bob and the woman's dead body. The water then manifested itself into the form of a gigantic two-headed dragon. He instantly healed Bob, and as Bob regained consciousness the Dragon Lord spoke to him.

"Mortal I am truly sorry I could not come to your aid sooner. I had hoped to save the woman as well but the laws of my world prevent me from coming to your aid unless you call me through the proper channels or your life is in danger. Excuse me while I take care of this riff-raff."

He then spoke to Kane and the Redeemer's pilot.

"You will rue the day you attacked this man and his future mate. I will tear your machine apart limb from limb, and then you will be digested in my stomach over the next 100 years."

With that both heads clamped onto the secondary firing stations and ripped them off of the mech. His tail then sliced off one of the arms while his heads continued to tear piece after piece off of the Redeemer until the cockpit was exposed, at which time he proceeded to devour the pilot.

"I take my leave now General. Again I am sorry I was not ale to help you sooner, but know that I will always be here should you need me, but first you must learn the proper way to summon me at will."

With that the Dragon Lord receded back into the card, leaving Bob to mourn the loss of the woman alone.

Quite a sad ending, I hate to leave that as the end but I've run out of ideas. Hope you enjoyed reading Bob's story.
